For those who haven´t hear about Knit Stars yet, it is an online platform with content really inspiring about the world of wool, yarn, knitting and crochet.
Para quienes no conocen el proyecto Knit Stars le contamos que es una plataforma online que alberga contenido muy inspirador sobre el mundo de la lana, los hilados, el tejido de punto y el crochet.
This year Knit Stars team has come to Latin America and made a stop at our home: Uruguay! This visit had a purpose, to be able to show the work done by the women who are part of Manos cooperatives.
Este año el equipo de Knit Stars visitó América Latina e hizo una parada en Uruguay. Esta visita tenía un propósito, poder mostrar el trabajo que realizan las cooperativas de mujeres que conforman Manos del Uruguay.
The emphasis was on cooperatives that are dedicated to the dyeing of our wool. So our participation in Knit Stars is focused on showing and teaching how the magic of our colors happens.
El énfasis estuvo en las cooperativas que se dedican al teñido artesanal de nuestras lanas, por eso nuestra participación se enfocó en mostrar y enseñar como sucede «la magia del color».
In the workshop, Patricia and Maribel, two of the artisan experts who are part of Manos,teach how to dye a Manos skein turn it into a beautiful and fun cowl. Maribel shows how to knit as Uruguayan knitters do.
Junto a Patricia y Maribel, dos artesanas expertas que son parte de Manos, realizamos un taller donde enseñamos cómo teñir una madeja y cómo tejer un lindo y divertido cuello. ¡Todo a la manera de Manos del Uruguay!
At the end of the workshop you will have acquired the skills to dye your own skein and knit it as one of our Uruguayan artisans.
Los usuarios del taller adquirirán las habilidades para tejer su propia madeja y con esta misma tejerse su propio cuello, como lo haría una de nuestras artesanas.
