Queremos compartir con ustedes los proyectos seleccionados  para Viva la Lana, nuestra convocatoria de diseño.

Recibimos muchos hermosos diseños y estos son los que seleccionamos.

We want to share with you the designs that we have selected from our design submission:

Esto es lo que Nana dijo sobre su diseño:

He elegido tu hilo más nuevo para jugar con Milo. Me encanta la suavidad del merino combinado con la frescura de la ropa. Milo se ve un poco áspera en los bordes, pero cuando se mira más cerca es suave con un brillo magnífico. Para mí Milo es un hilo sexy y complejo. Milo representa el espíritu del Tango perfectamente. Sexy, compleja, tierna y femenina pero con un bocado.

Vivo en los Países Bajos cerca de la playa. Los primeros colores que vienen a la mente cuando pienso en el Tango son el rojo y el negro. Esto representa para mí las noches tropicales apasionadas y ardientes. En los Países Bajos nos encanta el Tango también, pero aquí las noches son mucho menos calientes y las personalidades, así como los colores son más moderados. Es por eso que elijo trabajar con ‘Alaska’ y ‘Boreal’ para representar los colores de las playas holandesas.

Here’s what Nana  said about her design:

I’ve chosen your newest yarn Milo to play with. I love the softness of the merino combined with the crispness of the linen. Milo looks a bit rough around the edges but when you look closer it’s soft with a gorgeous shine. To me Milo is a sexy and complex yarn. Milo represents the spirit of the Tango perfectly. Sexy, complex, tender and feminin but with a bite.

I live in the Netherlands near the beach.   The first colors that come to mind when I think of the Tango are red and black. This represents to me smoldering hot passionate tropical nights. In the Netherlands we love the Tango too but here the nights are way less hot and the personalities as well as the colors are more subdued. That’s why I choose to work with ‘Alaska’ and ‘Boreal’ to represent the colors of the Dutch beaches.

Nos encanta como Susanna mezcla el drama del tango con el drama climático.  Su diseño aplica esos cables complejos al canseú de un cardigan ragaln.

We love how Susanna mixes Tango’s drama with climatic drama. She’s applying those moody cables to a raglan cardigan.

Katya diseñó un chal en Silk Blend Fino color Sealing Wax con calados  y hasta incluyó un emoji de bailarina de tango en su boceto! : )

Katyas design consist of a drapey shawl in stockinete stitch with a lace pattern.  We love the tango emoji in her sketch : )

Kate nos mandó dos diseños y nosotros seleccionamos el sweater, con un calce desestructurado, encontramos que se trata de una visión moderna del tema propuesto.

Kate sent us two designs and we choose the sweater, we find it is a very modern take on the subject.

El chal «creciente» de Sabrina juega con un color semi solido y otro espaciado de Alegría. Sabrina’s crescend shawl,  plays with a semi solid and space dye combination of Alegría colors in a wavy pattern.
